100th Wyoming State Fair, 2012

I have to say, being able to be one of the official documentarians for the 100th Wyoming State Fair was one of the most impactful events of my professional career thus far.

Tradition, pride and stubbornness immediately come to mind when I think about Wyoming. Not stubbornness in a bad way, but in a “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” kind of way. Very little has changed since white settlers first moved into the area roughly 180 years ago and if they have it their way, that is how it will stay for another 180.

That’s why the 100th state fair was so special. It encompassed everything that Wyoming stands for in one week of community involvement. Ranching, rodeo, industry and the wild west in a historic setting that is sure to live on for years to come.

Following, are a few shots I snapped with the cell here and there as the fair progressed. Be sure to check back to the main site at http://www.adamherrera.com in the coming weeks for an updated portfolio from the past year. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them!

Cheers!
